Regret!

All the smiles you brought on my lips,
All the kisses you planted,
All the glances at which my heart flips,
All the hugs you granted,

I want to forget, being in love, I regret!

All your tantrums I withstood,
All the yelling I heard,
All your stress which I understood,
All the times with tears my eyes got blurred,

I want to forget, being unconditional, I regret!

All the times we fought,
All the laughs that would later start,
All the loneliness you slowly bought,
All the dreams of us that stayed broken in my heart,

I want to forget, losing myself, I regret!

All that I did for our happiness,
All that I did for our togetherness,
All the questions that went unanswered,
All the pleas that went unheard,

I want to forget, when I am gone, you will regret!

  4. I echo what the first comment says. You can never regret love! It either was love or a lesson. Nothing else in between. Maybe you should think about what it exactly was.

I loved the feelings you put into this. Reminds me of me, so years ago! :)

  7. I can relate quite well to this poem. But then, when you look back, you realize there's no point in regretting; cos at the end of the day, you learn something even from a really bad relationship.
    Wonderfully written!

  8. Hi... visiting your blog for the first time! I liked the poem. . I personally am incapable of rhyming. But I agree with the comment above here. .. It was either love or a lesson. Why regret love and all the sweet memories that only love could have given you? Even if it broke your heart, did it teach you to not fall in love again? :-)

  9. It's a beautiful rhyme scheme...the thought reminded me of the Hindi poem in the movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan, where there was love, anger, anguish, betrayal etc. Its very well penned.

I visited ur blog for the first time today and I am happy that I finally did :)
