Let's make out!

I am enamored by the stubble on your face,
And engulfed by the sparkle in your eye,
Dissolving time and space,
Let's move closer you and I.

Allured by your charming smile,
and your firm jaw bone,
Dazed with your impeccable style,
my mind and body in a minute you own!

I am dizzy,
Dizzy with your thought,
My mind is busy,
Wanting to make out,
come, let's make out!

Your laughter creates ripples in me,
your voice melts my heart,
Me in your arms, I want to see,
Let's make art while making out!

You make my breathe stop,
Your short hair drives me nuts,
You I want on top,
Creating a world within me while the world outside shuts!

I am dizzy,
Dizzy with your thought,
My mind is busy,
Wanting to make out,
come, let's make out!

Your hair I want to tug,
Your back I want to caress,
Your lips in mine I want to devour,
My love for you I want to profess!

Will you let me hold you?
Will you give me a chance with you to play?
Will you say you love me too?
Will you forever with me stay?

I am dizzy,
Dizzy with your thought,
My mind is busy,
Wanting to make out,
come, let's make out!

I wrote this frisky poem based on conversations with my guy friends. They usually get offended that a woman tells them upfront that she wants to make out with them. They call her "shameless" and "uncultured".
I think they have no reason to find it offensive. Is it wrong only because she made the first move? They could have declined her and forgotten about it, if they were not interested. Shaming the girl for making the first move? It's so passe!

I have been hearing this silently for years, sometimes I say, what's wrong? They look at me perplexed. In this day and age when feminism is spoken about in every context, how can a girl voicing out her feelings be wrong? We girls get to deal with these things day in and day out, we do not make a deal about that, do we? Why can't a woman's sexuality be as prominent as a guy's?
Guys saying such things is not entirely their fault, it's the societal conditioning. Our society has to grow up so much more.

This has been disturbing me for the past few days,  I am glad, I let it out. Tell me your views. :)

  1. Its imbibed in the mindset of the MENkind, that women don't have sexual cravings or even thoughts for that matter. High time they accepted it as normal for both genders!

Btw the poem was nice! :D

  2. The poem is sizzling! And the guy sounds like a MCP. There's nothing wrong if a woman flaunts her sexuality. I say the guy doesn't deserve her.

    1. Hehe thanks Aathira!

I don't think it's the guys fault also. It's the general mentality no? I have even seen women who condemn other women for flaunting their sexuality.

  3. WOOOHOOO... I love this :D

Flip him a bird, woman, and buy that girl a pair of Choos for being secure enough to know and talk about what she wants.

  4. "Shameless" - he was just articulating the society's perception of woman. Being a virgin till marriage... Sharing the bed with only one man... and die is considered to be the way woman should be. Anything different from that is a taboo. Women are trained like that; most of them. But then, times are changing. Woman is a human being too. Sexual needs and attractions are primitive needs. Its okay to speak out about it. But judging her by that is a crime.

    1. The more men hold us back, the more strongly we are going to come out, I guess! Thank you :)

  6. Well, I think making the first move as in the first time kind of puts the woman in a back seat. We are valued less!
But over the next few weeks/months/years, making the first move makes a man feel wanted. So it just depends on which stage you are in!
    That's just how I feel. I wouldn't generalise it.

    1. I am also someone who would never make the first move, but it's not wrong for me to make it, right? That's the point I am trying to get at. Why is it wrong for a woman to make the first move? :)

  7. Wow! This is really amazing!

I haven't read any article written, on this issue, as coherently as this one! We try hard for egalitarianism, but there are some obnoxious weeds with archaic mindset who just refuse to accept the change.

I envy your ability to let it out eloquently! :)
Your 'frisky poem' is Fantastic! :)

  9. I cannot agree more. However, you cannot generalize based on a set of guy friends you have. Just saying.
