Colour me Silver!

I am turning twenty five in less than twenty four hours. I am suddenly realizing how big a number twenty five is. I am a matured, responsible girl but do I feel 25? No. But then, how would I know what it feels like to be 25?

It's like a whole new phase of life is unfolding. I no longer fit into the adamant teenager, rebellious young adult tag, even though I am still adamant and rebellious. I suddenly feel old and weird, but I am sure it's a passing thought.

I want to randomly list the 25 things I have learnt in life to read when I am 50. :P The list is as follows:

  • Nothing in life will go as planned. Not even this list.
  • Everything happens for the best. No matter what.
  • People come and people go. Those who have to stay will stay with no conditions attached.
  • You might not get everything you expect. But you will definitely get everything you deserve.
  • Karma is a bitch. You can run, you can hide but Karma will get to you.
  • Being grateful about waking up everyday gives life a new meaning.
  • Don't over fill your plate. Serve as much as you can eat.
  • Trust everyone to hurt you. You will not be disappointed.
  • Every difficult situation is a change wanting to happen to your life.
  • New beginnings are easier than we think they are.
  • Memories are overstated.
  • Emotions have meaning only when reciprocated.
  • Somethings happen for no reason. Absolutely no reason.
  • Living in denial won't change a situation. Acceptance will.
  • I can and I will. Optimism never killed anyone.
  • Nobody is indispensable except family.
  • Have a new set of goals every once in a while.
  • Learn. Everyday.
  • Try. Before saying no.
  • Anger makes me do things I regret. I do not like to regret.
  • My happiness solely depends on me.
  • Fear is over hyped. It can be overcome.
  • It is important to be selfish and greedy sometimes, even though we are taught otherwise.
  • Assumption destroys. Clarify.
  • Love. Unconditionally.
A lot has happened over the past one year, I can't wait to see what life will unfold for me this year. I have a feeling, this will be a big year in terms of personal relationships. I am excited and nervous.

I wanted to take part in the A-Z challenge this year as well, but I am travelling for most part of the month and I have no time at work to write posts in advance and schedule them.

I definitely want to blog more often this year, I will strive to make it happen. That's my birthday promise to myself. :)

Read it after crestfallen, depressing Saturday! Oh man, it was such an "Awesomely fantastic" read. Completely changed my mood and perspective. I had an amazing sleep. :)

Well, I'm just gonna go ahead and print and paste all the points mentioned on wall.

Thank you for such a sublime post, Pooja! It's really helpful! :)
